Burghers Gallery 3 – ASMP Pittsburgh

BURGHERS – There are many things that make a great city. For some it’s the food, jobs, landscape, buildings, or possibly a sports team. For us we believe that what makes Pittsburgh so great is the people. “Burghers” is a photography project by Pittsburgh ASMP that celebrates what it means to be a citizen of this region. Whether they are working, playing, studying, putting out folding chairs for a parking spot, eating a hoagie, or cheering on the “Stillers”, we are glad to call these people our neighbors.

Bruce Klein, Owner of Bernie’s Camera on the North Side.  Bruce has served the photographic community in Pittsburgh for as long as I’ve been doing photography (1975).  Bruce has done much to upgrade his store and East Ohio Street, He is truly a Burgher.

If you’ve ever eaten at Max’s Allegheny Tavern in the Northside, Diane has most likely greeted you.  She has been a waitress and hostess at Max’s for as long as most can remember and her warm yet feisty spirit represents that of a true Northsider and Burgher.
